SKILLED LABORER / CARPENTER POSITION DESCRIPTION

The following qualifications must be met to be considered for this position: 

• Experienced with finish trim carpentry work – must poses attention to detail skills and have the capabilities to carry them out
• Knowledge of various components of remodels and demolition work
• Ability to identify and find solutions for potential issues on the job
• Have basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
• Knowledge of repairing and texturing drywall
• Skilled painting of various surfaces including interior and exterior 
• General job site clean up
• Be able to work off of punch lists with minimal direction and supervision
• Knowledge of the demolition process – be able to follow direction, a scope of work and construction drawings
• Various labor related work as directed
• Have the ability to work in a fast paced production environment at times
• Must poses a good variety of own tools for remodel and demolition work (saws, ladders, larger tools provided by company for use)

The following items are a requirement to be considered for this position: 

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry
• Must be fluent when reading, writing and speaking English
• Must be able to pass an employment background check (no criminal history, no major traffic violations, no drugs charges etc.)
• Expected to be punctual and show up for work daily prepared and ready to go
• Must have a reliable means of transportation to get to and from jobs throughout the day
• Must have a reliable cell phone that you can get and send email and text from
• Must be a quick and eager learner and be able to take direction well but work independently when needed
• Must be able to lift heavy objects, walk/stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical tasks
• Must be willing to work outside in various weather conditions

There will be a 60 day review process starting from the date hire to be determine eligibility for a permanent position. Skill level, punctuality, communication, effort to learn, attitude and assessment of how well you work with the team will be evaluated.
